1. Where is home?

Type your town or postcode and press Find.

2. Phone alerts
  1. On your phone, install the free app ntfy (App Store / Google Play).
  2. Open it, tap +, and type this name exactly:
  3. Tap the button below. Your phone should buzz.
3. Flights from your calendar (optional)

Google Calendar on a computer → Settings → your calendar → Integrate calendar → copy Secret address in iCal format and paste it here. Name events like BA1234 Gatwick to Paris.

4. Finding the plane from a flight number (easyJet needs this)

easyJet planes broadcast a different code from the flight number on your roster, so the number alone can't be found. A free key from airlabs.co lets the app look the plane up from the flight number. Sign up, copy your API key, paste it here.

5. Share with family

Anyone with this link can see where papa is. Send it only to family.

Add a friend's flight

Any airline. It's saved, so you don't need to add it again, and it drops off the board by itself a day after it leaves.

Route (optional)

Tip: with a departure time the app only looks for the plane around that time, which keeps the free data allowance for the flights that matter. Without one it looks for 12 hours.

Enter the family key to see where papa is.
